English in Early Years
In Early Years we believe that the firm foundations we provide are essential to give pupils the literacy skills to succeed as they progress through education. We provide an environment that enables pupil’s speech, language and communication to flourish, gives them the confidence to express themselves and to express their thoughts and feelings with others. We teach early phonics through Letters and Sounds and provide opportunities for pupils to apply their developing skills in all areas of the provision both indoors and outdoors. We ignite our pupils' imaginations by reading high quality texts which inspires them to create their own illustrations and early writing.
