History at St Richard's

“If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” - Rudyard Kipling

History in EYFS

During EYFS children develop their understanding of the physical world and community in which they live. They use everyday language related to time. They order and sequence familiar events and sequence pictures in time order. Children talk about past and present events in their own lives and in the lives of family members. They will start to identify simple similarities and differences. Children will listen to and recall simple historical stories and explain their own knowledge and understanding and asks appropriate questions.
