Mini Vinnies at St Richards

14th February 2019 A further fourteen children were commissioned as Mini Vinnies today. Congratulations to Grace, Lydia, Alice, Anastazja, Abisola, Zani, Lola-Mae, Alesha, Brooke, Emilly, Gracie-May, Leah, Elijah and Lola. Parents, Grandparents and siblings joined us for the ceremony and breakfast afterwards. They made the following comments: I enjoyed watching this assembly and listening to my Child. And I like that the teachers help the kids in KS1. A lovely assembly – It’s lovely to see the children having the opportunity to think of others less fortunate than themselves. The presentation was well planned and executed. Communication between the teacher and the pupils was excellent. The assembly was brilliant. Great to see that the children are learning to support other people in their local community. The children are building their confidence whilst appreciating others’ needs. Fantastic to see children encouraged to help those less fortunate. I attended the mini-vinnies’ assembly and it was really lovely to see the children make their pledge to care for themselves and others. What lovely values to foster in a group of young children. |

8th February 2019 We were delighted to have the whole school and some families join us for our Mini Vinnies commissioning ceremony yesterday. Eleven children were commissioned as Mini Vinnies and enjoyed a celebration breakfast afterwards with their parents and Mrs Nulty. |

Parents commented: It was lovely to see the kids recite the prayers. The promise that they made makes me aware that Morgan can learn how to treat others not just from us at home but also in school. All the staff were nice and welcoming. We also enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you. I really liked it and I am happy that Mini Vinnies is a club in this school. The breakfast and chatting with others was absolutely amazing. Thank you. Thank you for the time you spend doing such good things with our kids. |
