St Richard's is now part of the parish of St Margaret Clitherow, which was created out of the former parishes of Sacred Heart (Hindsford), St Ambrose Barlow (Astley), St Gabriel's (Higher Folds) and Holy Family (Boothstown), in addition to St Richard's
The parishes of St Margaret Clitherow and St Edmund Arrowsmith together form the Leigh Deanery (formerly Leigh Pastoral Area), whose website can be found here.
